Kayem Foods recalls nearly 1.6m pounds of meat products |
Kayem Foods has recalled nearly 1.6m pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products, including hot dogs, bacon, deli meats, and sausages, following a warehouse refrigeration failure that may have compromised food safety. The recall covers products manufactured between March 31st and October 7th and distributed across the United States and Hong Kong under eight brands, including Kayem, Al Fresco, and Triple M. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has classified the recall as Class I, its highest-risk category, after an investigation revealed inconsistent storage temperatures. No illnesses have been confirmed, but consumers have been advised to discard or return affected products.
